The Forest and Flying Fox Ziplines Coronavirus Policy

 

Overview

With the growing concerns about Coronavirus we wish to inform and advise all our customers and employees about the sensible measures we are taking to combat the spread of the virus.

All our employees have been briefed on this policy and we kindly request all of our visitors to read the information below.

While we take all sensible precautions, we remain open for business and we hope that our customers continue to enjoy everything we have to offer. If you have any questions regarding this policy, please email Kezia, our General Manager.

 

WHO & Kenya Government guidelines

We are following closely the Ministry of Health website, and especially their dedicated Covid-19 page. We will adhere to all guidelines issued by the Kenyan Government.

The measures we're taking

 

Our employees

  • All our employees have been told that if they feel unwell or have been exposed to COVID-19 they must stay at home and self-isolate.

  • If an employee develops symptoms of the virus they must report it to our General Manager, Kezia Kanoo, as well as to the Kenyan Government.

All our employees have been told to do the following:

  • Avoid all physical contact such as shaking hands with each other and with visitors.

  • Regularly wash their hands with soap and water for 20 seconds throughout the day and particularly before and after every activity session.

  • Regularly clean all surfaces with disinfectant throughout the day and particularly door handles and the dining area.

 

During your activities:

  • If you are Ziplining with Flying Fox:

    • You will be issued with a pair of custom-made gloves. For safety reasons we cannot avoid using them.

    • Before and after wearing your gloves, you will be requested thoroughly to wash your hands with sanitizer, or with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, either at the kitting area or in our washrooms.

  • For other activities:

    • Any piece of equipment you are issued for an activity will be disinfected before it is issued to you.

    • Before receiving equipment and/or safety gear you will be asked to wash your hands with sanitizer, or with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, either at the kitting area or in our washrooms.
